A provider of authoritative insight and opinion on international news, politics, business, finance, science and technology. Despite the prominent links to “sign on” and “subscribe,” all articles are freely available from within the UCA network.

Direct Links to Databases
- Credo Reference
A collection of hundreds of reference books in many disciplines. This is a good place to start early in your research, to get foundational information about a discipline or topic.
- EBSCOhost Research Databases
A comprehensive grouping of databases offering the full texts of over 15,000 periodicals, covering many academic disciplines and areas of popular interest. Included in the EBSCO databases are the most wide-ranging database, Academic Search Premier, and such stalwarts of specialized research as ERIC and MEDLINE.
A collection of several hundred books, most of which deal with economic, political, and social issues in developing nations. UCA does not have access to all of the titles published by Elgar; to use the database most efficiently, select the "all accessible content" option under "refine by access" in the left sidebar on the "browse" page. In addition to the Elgar monographs, UCA has full access to the Elgar journals, which cover a range of disciplines, including environmental studies, law, economics, and the humanities.

Provides political, economic, and historical information about more than 250 countries and territories, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.
- IMF eLibrary
A wealth of information from monographs and periodicals published by the International Monetary Fund. This database is particularly strong for issues surrounding economic development.
- Intellect Full Collection
Journals in the arts, humanities and communication.
Information from the publications of the Institute of Physics.
A collection of full runs of hundreds of academic journals, from the beginning of their publication up to a “moving wall” point ranging from five to seven years ago. JSTOR is one of the most reliable sources of highly respected, peer-reviewed scholarly writing.
- SAGE Journals
More than 1000 journals spanning the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology, and Medicine.
Study, Reference and Circulation Services
The UCA Library offers comfortable seating in various configurations, including individual and collaborative study and learning spaces. The Library collections reflect UCA's curriculum. Librarians are on hand to provide information on library facilities and services and offer library visitors help searching for relevant resources. Visitors may access both print and digital resources, as well databases containing electronic materials from the UCA Library's own collection and elsewhere. The Library also offers training on the research process, including how to navigate databases, identify appropriate resources and provide accurate citation of works consulted. Visitors can access library resources in-person or remotely via internet through the Library's website.
