Grade 10 and 11 Students from Kazakhstan Discuss Industrialisation 4.0 at Almaty Akimat and University of Central Asia Public Forum
The Almaty Oblast Akimat, Kazakhstan’s National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" and University of Central Asia (UCA) organised a public forum I Participate in Industrialisation 4.0 in Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan on 10 March 2017. This is the first such open public discussion organised by the partners.
"When pursuing further education, students should critically explore market trends and emerging fields of expertise. When choosing a career, aim for excellence and to be the best in your field," said Daniyar Sabyrbayev from the Kazakhstan Agency for Public Service and Anti-Corruption, Almaty Oblast.
The Forum was attended by Grade 10 and 11 students, parents and school administrators from Alakol, Kapchagay, Tekeli and Taldykorgan towns in Kazakhstan. The discussion helped students form strategic insight to inform their choice of profession, and considering Kazakhstan’s long-term goals towards sustainable economic development. These insights are based on Republic of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s address The Third Modernisation of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness.
At the session, high-school students described how they could contribute to the Industrialisation 4.0 process. Representatives from the Almaty Oblast Akimat. National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, and UCA shared their vision of qualifications and skills required by the next generation to fulfill the Industrialisation 4.0 vision for Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
“The strategic vision for Kazakhstan outlined in President Nazarbaev’s address to the nation on the third modernisation of the country will create great opportunities for further strengthening the foundation of the knowledge society in the country and the University of Central Asia is prepared to play its part in this process by improving the competitiveness and competence of its students,” said Muzaffar Jorubov, Chief Operating Officer.
