Cross-Debate Format Training in Kazakhstan

The University of Central Asia's (UCA) Aga Khan Humanities Project (AKHP) organised a Cross-Debate Format (CDF) training in Almaty on September 29-30 for students from Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, KIMEP University, Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communication and the Kunaev Eurasian Academy of Law.


They learnt about the features of CDF and participated in active debates on the problems of domestic violence in Central Asia, as well as on the drivers of the economic boom in Central Asia. The sessions were led by Shokirjon Mahmadov, AKHP trainer, and participants also learnt about UCA from Chynara Turatbek kyzy and Meruert Suleimenova from UCA’s Student Recruitment team.
